The proposed study aims to provide an in-depth understanding of the use of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) to image the human breast and should address the following aspects:
1-Anatomy and physiology of the breast.
2-The background of MRI breast cancer imaging.
3-Common indications for breast MRI referral.
4-Equipment considerations, patient preparation and positioning.
6-Breast acquisition, imaging parameters and image post-processing protocols.
7-Role of MRI in the comprehensive work up of breast disease.
8-MRI safety and patient considerations.
9-The limitations and challenges of breast MRI.
10-Breast MR image interpretation, image characteristics and the appearance of benign and malignant tumours.
11-The accuracy of MRI in suspicious breast lesions.
12-Emerging technologies and new trends for sequence optimisation.
It’s preferred that the dissertation is written by a medical practitioner who has an experience in medical imaging especially in Magnetic Resonance Imaging
